Key Stage 3
The Key Stage 3 Mathematics curriculum builds on the National Numeracy Strategy already implemented in the Primary schools. Students have the opportunity to consolidate previous knowledge and to work at higher levels so that they experience both success and challenge. Students are taught in ability sets; setting is reviewed regularly to ensure that students are studying at the correct level. Key Stage 4 All students have the opportunity to achieve as high a GCSE Mathematics grade as is possible on the Edexcel/Linear GCSE course, with some students taking the Entry Level Mathematics programme of study. A-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics Students at UCC enjoy Mathematics. This is reflected in the large number of pupils who chose to continue with the subject at post-16 and thereafter at university. We offer A-Level Mathematics and A-Level Further Maths. |
