What about student illness?
If your child is not well enough to come to school, please phone the main number (01768 210206) and leave a message.

What if my child is ill during the school day?

What about lost property?
Lost property which is MARKED is easily returned. In the first instance every child is responsible for his/her own property. Any more...
  
What about mobile phones?
Mobile phones are not encouraged in school; however, the school accepts that they are often an essential form of communication with parents. Mobile
phones should never be used in school without the permission of members of staff. If a phone is used without permission, it will be confiscated and
returned to the student at the end of the school day.
   
What about school meals?
Breakfast bar 11.20am - 11.35am, Toast, Crumpets, Fruit, Yogurts, Bagels more... 

What are sQuid cards?
sQuid cards can be used by students to purchase items from school.  For more information please see their website, or check the flyer.

What about Sex Education?
Sex Education is taught across the age range in Science, Citizenship, PSHE and Child Development.  There is full information on this subject in our Sex and Relationship Education (SRE) Policy on the Policies page.

What about external candidates?
Sorry, we do not offer an examinations service for external candidates. However more... 

What about a PTA or Parent's Forum? 
We have the 'Friends of Ullswater' group who run as a forum and activity group for the school made up of parents and friends of the school.  To find out more information please contact us.


What about bad weather? In the case of extreme weather (snow, flooding) we will update the website regularly.  You can also listen to the radio or check the Radio Cumbria or CFM websites.
