The Applied Learning CentreOur state-of-the-art Applied Learning Centre was officially opened by His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester on the 29th of November 2011. The Applied Learning Centre houses four distinct areas of 100m2 each, covering the construction industry, motor vehicle engineering, hair & beauty and retail. It is a single-storey, steel frame brick-built construction sitting within the existing school campus. Each of the four areas in the centre are fitted out appropriately; an eight-bay hair salon and beauty treatment area sit alongside a retail area containing a shop and reception area. In the motor engineering area equipment includes two hoists, wheel-balancing and tyre-changing equipment. The construction space has facilities for teaching plumbing, electrics, bricklaying, plastering, painting and decorating. Courses include construction, motor vehicle and hair and beauty.
